Earth Day
April 20, 2018Christmas Countdown — 8 Months
April 25, 2018It seems that spring might finally be here. (And it’s about time!) But now that the ground has thawed, that means that it’s time to pay attention to your yard.
Winters can be rough on yards. Here in DC, we’ve had terrible wind since late March. So now my yard is full of dead plants, broken branches, and random trash that blew in from who knows where. If I want to spent time outdoors now that it’s getting warmer, I have some work to do.
The first step is to clean up the trash, broken branches, and dead plants. Do compost or recycle whatever you can. You may also need to remulch your flower beds, put in new plants, condition your garden beds, and do your planting.
You can also put up your clothesline and place your outdoor furniture.
Me, I’ll be re-landscaping the front of my house and repainting the exterior, so, I’ll be busy for the next few weeks!
