Vacation Planning – Part 2
May 4, 2010Vacation Planning – Part 4
May 6, 2010An important part of vacation planning is knowing your vacation style and the vacation style of every member of your travel party. Not planning to accommodate different vacation styles can lead to a bad vacation. Here are some questions to help you judge your style:
- Do you like full days with everything scheduled (attraction tickets, meal reservations, etc.)?
- Do you like to spend at least some days lying on a beach or enjoying resort amenities?
- Do you prefer spur of the moment decisions about where to go and what to do?
- Do you like to visit the tourist attractions of an area?
- Do you like to experience the exotic?
- Do you like to hang out with the locals and just enjoy the "vibe"?
- Do you like to be physically active, lazy, or something in between?
- Are you looking for hustle-bustle or quiet?
- Do you like to see and do new things or to stiock with the tried and true?
Knowing the answers to these questions will increase the probability that you'll cherish your vacation memories, long after you return.
