With Mother’s Day this week and Father’s Day only a few short weeks away, you will see a lot of specials on gift items. 

Rather than limiting your thoughts to mom and dad (worthy of thought though they undoubtedly are), think ahead to other gift-giving opportunities, including Christmas.  I know, it’s 7 months away.  But saving money and spacing out your spending isn’t a bad idea in tough economic times.

Many of the gifts on special in these next few weeks will be great for other people on your list.  I’m sure your mom isn’t the only person you know who likes luxury bath products or digital photo frames.  Someone besides dad may love an electronic gadget. 

If so, take advantage of the sale and squirrel your purchase away.  But here’s the key: REMEMBER WHERE YOU PUT IT!
