I was running errands yesterday when I came across a new shop that has opened only a block away:  The Yarn Spot.  I stopped in to take a look around and I am utterly charmed. 

They have unique and lovely yarns (all a bit pricey).  This isn't the sort of place that sells the brand yarns manufactured in huge quantities. They also sell knitting needles and crichet hooks and other accessories.

The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful.  I'm already on the mailing list.  They offer a variety of classes and knit circles so you can just sit around and craft.  They seem very open to ading additional classes based on customer wants.

They will even help me achieve one of the items on my bucket list.  I'm going to learn to weave.  They have some small looms on order and have offered to teach me the basics if I buy one.  I can't wait to start learning and to get to know this wonderful group of women!
