New Year’s Resolutions
January 1, 2019Today is the last day of 2018. Here are some things to do today:
- Make your year-end charitable donations. If you make the contribution online or mail the check, you can deduct it on your taxes for 2018 (assuming that you itemize charitable contributions).
- Write down your resolutions. Your first resolution should be to subscribe to my newsletter — The Elf House Chronicles.
- Do any last-minute tasks for tonight (set out your clothes, chill the champagne, confirm the babysitter, defrost the snacks, set the video queue — whatever it is you do).
- Make sure you have everything you need for New Year’s breakfast and dinner. You don’t want to begin the new year in a panic.
- Take a little nap. It will be easier to stay up until midnight if you have a little rest now.
- Have a Happy New Year!
