Taxes.  Yes, I know they aren't due for more than 3 months (3 months and 1 week to be exact), but now is a good time to start thinking about them.

Various financial providers will begin mailing you statements in the next few weeks.  Set aside an accordion folder to hold all this documentation.  Also, begin going through your recordsto gather up the documentation for any deductions you plan to take — medical expenses, job-related expenses, charitable giving.

If you gather this material over time, it will be waiting for you when you are ready to do your taxes or take them to a paid preparer.  Digging through files in a panic is NOT how you want to spend an April weekend.  Trust me.
