The Dark Side of Spring: Part 2
February 20, 2014Time Out
February 27, 2014We'll finish up our look at the dark side spring by looking at everyone's least favorite spring task: spring cleaning.
There's smething about spring that makes me want to clean the house. Spring brings newness and I like to greet it with a clean house. The cooler. cloudy, gloomy days of early spring offer a great opportunity to do some cleaning. If you finish your cleaning early in the spring, when the weather isn't as good, by the time the weather is good, you'll be able to get out and enjoy it.
Eve before spring gets here, there are things you can do to make spring cleaning easier. The less cluttered things are, the easier they are to clean. Getting rid of things you don't need means less to clean. So taking a few minutes each day before spring gets here to tidy something will make your spring cleaning that much easier.
And keep in mind that spring cleaning isn't confined to the inside. Winter can be harsh on yards and houses. As soon as the snow melts and the weather starts clearing, you'll want to take a slow and careful walk around your house and yard, noting everything that requires repair or other attention. You'll need to wait until the weather clears to accomplish these tasks, but it's good to know what needs to be dine. Plus, it will give you time to gather the supplies you need.
What are your spring plans?
