Thanksgiving is two weeks away.  If you are hosting, use this week to make final menu decisions and lay out your schedule.  Your schedule should include everything you need to do to prepare for the holiday:

• Preparing the guest room if you will have overnight guests.
• Cleaning the public rooms of the house — living/family room, dining room, bathroom.
• Clearing maximal space in the fridge.
• Grocery shopping.
• Table setting (I like to do this the day before.)
• Food preparation.

I suggest annotating the schedule with who will do what.  then post it somewhere so everyone knows who's doing what. 

As much as possible, space things out over the two weeks so that you don't leave everything to the last minute.  Nothing spoils a holiday as much as being in massive stress when your guests arrive.  Knowing that the day's tasks are well in hand means you get to celebrate too!
