Winter Weekend
January 10, 2014Procrastination
January 23, 2014If you haven't made your new year's ressolutions yet, it's not too late. After all, resolutions aren't a one-and-done sort of thing. They are more like a strategic plan, intended to move you along a path leading to the life you want to have.
I tend to divide my resolutions/goals into categories: health/fitness, personal, financial/legal, organizational.
So, for example, in health fitness, I am working on getting back to my goal weight and training for my first half marathon.
On the personal side, I have identified 12 books to read (1 already done) decided to complete two of the craft projects sitting in my house.
On the financial side, I have some long-postponed tasks to complete and I am restructuring my budget to allow for more savings.
Finally, on the organizational side, I am revamping my personal filing system and organizing my bookshelves.
The key here is to set specific goals and identify what you need to do to achieve them.
The rest of this week, we'll discuss things that keep us from achieving goals and ways to make achieving goals a bit easier.
