Summer Travel — Re-Entry
June 11, 2015Elf on Travel
June 17, 2015Just because summer is less scheduled than much of the year does not mean that it is entirely unplanned. In fact, it's wise to make a few plans for the summer, lest you arrive at Labor Day filled with regrets for things you didn't do.
You may want to schedule a few "don't miss" things from this list:
- Trips to local parks (theme or otherwise).
- Free outdoor concerts — perhaps including Fourth of July fireworks.
- Movies — outdoor movies or don't miss blockbusters (I know that I have the Minion movie inked into my schedule).
- Trips to farmer's markets, farm stands, or pick your own.
- One or two household projects best accomplished in the summer or on rainy days.
Don't schedule too much or you'll find summer just as exhausting at the rest of the year. Leave open time for a last minute picnic or a trip to get ice cream. Just make sure that you prioritize some fun!
