Summer Cooking
July 11, 2018The Halfway Point!
July 16, 2018When summer begins, many people’s thoughts turn to vacations and where they will travel. I’m going to suggest that you look a little closer to home.
Many communities host a variety of special events during the summer. Sometimes there are outdoor concerts or movie nights. Community groups host carnivals, festivals, or picnics. There might be a county or state fair. The public library may offer special reading events. Thee may be sports tournaments.
Even better, many of these events are absolutely free. In other cases, the only cost involved is the food you buy there.
Getting out to learn more about your community and your neighbors is a great way to spend your summer. Enjoy!
