April 20, 2009Sometimes, life comes at you fast. It's hard to keep everything in balance. Life gets overwhelming and it can seem like too much.
Here are some strategies that I use to get through these times:
1) Pare your life down to the essentials. If it doesn't absolutely have to be done (eating, bill paying, super basic household chores, etc.), don't do it.
2) Break the essential tasks into smaller chunks. Attack one chunk at a time. You'll make progress and feel like you've accomplished something.
3) Make time for favorite small luxuries: a bubble bath, a special dessert, a good book, a massage, a long walk — whatever makes you happy. Having something to look forward to at the end of a rough day can be a huge help.
