Winter Sales
March 2, 2010Thinking Ahead to Summer
March 4, 2010It is time to begin thinking spring. Here are some things you need to plan for:
- Look for Spring Entertaining options: Easter, Passover, a spring garden party, a Mother's Day brunch, the first cookout of the season, a girls' night spring fling, a craft party.
- Schedule significant blocs of time for major spring tasks including spring cleaning, planting your garden, switching over from winter to summer clothes and linens, and doing outdoor cleanup after a difficult winter. These tasks are too time-consuming to try to work in to your ordinary routine.
- Try to simplify your cleaning routine since, as the weather gets better, you'll want to spend more time outside. That means less time for indoor chores.
- As you get ready for spring cleaning, try to de-clutter as much as possible. The more open a space is, the cooler and more summery it will seem.
- It's very important to maintain a calendar, even if you stopped after the holidays. With bridal and baby showers, weddings, graduations, end of the school year events, and the like, without n up-to-date calendar, you can find yourself double and triple booked.
