Spring Cleaning, Part 2: Task List
March 18, 2016Easter Foods
March 23, 2016The spring equinox occurred last Sunday. That means that it's officially spring. (Though it's rather hard to tell that since I had to break out my scarf and mittens yesterday and I have several friends who still have snow on the ground.)
But more than that, the equinox means that, for the next 6 months, we will have more light than darkness. I've begun trying to reorient my sleep patterns so that I can wake up earlier to get things done in the morning and take better advantage of the day's light. Right now, I complete tasks in darkness, leaving more daylight time for errands and outdoor leisure. Later in the spring and summer, I'll use this "found time" to go for runs before the heat of the day begins.
But today's news from Brussels — like last week's from Ankara — reminds me that our world has a great need for more light. So how do I do more than just take advantage of the light? How do I share the light?
