So you want to throw a party, but you need an excuse.  Here are some ideas:

• Oscar Night!  The Oscars will be handed out Sunday night.  Invite a few friends over to watch the telecast.  It’s always more fun to snark on the dresses and speeches with company.  For refreshments, you can go simple with popcorn and movie concession foods or elegant with cosmos canapes.  Then come back here on Monday morning to read the Elf Fashion Roundup!
• The Spring Equinox is March 20th.  Host a "Welcome Spring" event.  Think greens and fresh fruit, maybe tapas.
• Easter is March 23rd (the earliest it’s been in over 100 years). I’ll be hosting an Easter brunch.  You might want to do the same.  Alternatively, just invite some friends over to dye eggs.
• Celebrate Tax Day by inviting friends over for po’ boys and Monopoly.
• With spring events like bridal and baby showers, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations coming up, invite friends over to help with crafts, favors, invitations and all the other tasks necessary to these events.

Whatever the reason, gather your friends and enjoy.
