Time Change!
March 11, 2016Saints’ Days in Lent
March 16, 2016Daylight Saving Time started Sunday. Spring starts next week. The weather is slowly turning from winter cold to spring warmth and rain.
I tend to live seasonally, so that means it's time to start re-orienting my life. Now, when most people talk about living seasonally, they tend to limit the seasonality to what they eat — focusing their menus on foods that are in season. But, for me, seasonality is more of a "whole life" prospect.
In the winter, I tend to be more insular. I stay at home and do more crafting and big cooking. I try to accomplish some home projects. I do my chores in the evening. I host people for more formal dinner parties. My workout routine focuses more on weights and circuits.
As the weather gets warmer, I get outside. My primary exercise is running. My projects require throwing open windows and moving things in and out. Outdoor parties are more likely. I try to shift my chores to the morning so that, once the good weather is here, I can spend some time on the hammock most evenings
Does your routine change with the seasons?
