Christmas Countdown – 6 Months
June 24, 2014Mornings and Bits of Time
July 2, 2014Today ends the sceond quarter of 2014. That means its' time for a quick check-in on your new year's resolutions.
Go find your list and honestly assess your progress. Where are you being successful? Where are you falling behind? Where should you focus your attention in the next quarter?
I've taken a good look at my resolutions and Ive made some progress. If I can finish Bleak House in July, I'm on track with my reading. I'm continuing to reorganize my personal files. I'm trying to use up food in the freezer and pantry, though I'm not entirely successful there. I've gone vegetarian two days each week. I've increased my savings. In fact, each quarter I have been increasing the amount that goes to savings from each paycheck. I've done some things I always wanted to do — namely, taken advantage of DC Restauramt Week and visited the Meridien Hill Park drum circle. And I finished a half-marathon!
On the downside, I haven't attacked any old craft projects. My weight loss efforts haven't been at all successful. My closets and cabinets are still a mess. I have some legal and financial tasks that I haven't addressed. My silver tea service is languishing and I haven't entertained as much as I'd like.
My goals in the next quarter:
- Work on bringing my running pace down.
- Clean the kitchen cabinets.
- Finish sorting my personal files.
- Finish one old craft project.
- Complete at least 1 financial/legal task.
- Entertain at least once.
So, I still have a good bit to achieve in 2014, but I'm on my way. How about you?
