My Weekend
April 13, 2016Climbing the Mountain of Work – Part 1
April 18, 2016A month ago, I blogged about shifting my routine from season to season. Since that post, I've been thinking about it even more and I realized that I actually have two different types of seasons.
In the Spring and Fall, I'm very focused on cleaning and organizing — getting my house in order and taking care of big organizational tasks like culling files and moving things into and out of the attic.
In the Winter and Sumer, I try to free up larger blocs of time for reading, writing, crafting, entertaining, and recreation. (Yes, I'll be getting the hammock out of the attic this weekend!)
With this pattern, the seasons complement each other. By getting my house and life more organized in the Spring and Fall, it's easier to keep things up without too much work and to be able to invite folks over in the Winter and Summer.
The challenge for me is finding balance so that I can also enjoy Spring and Fall — my favorite seasons really. It's a constant struggle.
