Summer Projects
June 4, 2018Relay for Life
June 8, 2018So far, here in DC, summer has been extremely rainy. We’ve had numerous thunderstorms and even some flash flooding. My lawn has been a swamp since early May.
Obviously, when it’s pouring rain, being outside is not your good choice. So, it’s good to plan some inside things to do. Here are some of my favorite options:
- Prepare meals that can be frozen to save time on busy days. You can fully cook things before you freeze them or simply do the chopping and mixing for meals that can be defrosted and cooked in a slow cooker.
- Read that stack of magazines you’ve been meaning to get to.
- Write actual letters to people. Not emails, letters.
- Do the mending that’s been piling up.
- Watch the programs on your DVR or in your queue.
- Discover a new podcast.
- Catch up on your filing.
What do you do on rainy days?
