May 24, 2010With summer on the horizon, I like to plan for the inevitable rainy days. It's nice to have things to do that will keep you occupied inside on a raint summer day when you really want to be outside.
Now, if you are especially industrious, a rainy day can be a great day to clean out a closet or catch up on your mending.
A rainy day is also a great opportunity to try out some new recipes, catch up on reading some magazines, or write some letters.
If you have children in the house, I recommend keeping a box of simple craft projects (ones that can be brought to completion in less than 4 hours) and rainy day games. This box only gets opened when it's raining, so the crafts and games maintain their novelty.
Make sure that at least a few of your options don't require electricity — just in case thunderstorms take the power out.
