Long Weekend
February 15, 2019Kids and Summer
February 20, 2019We’ve had such odd weather this month. We’ve had everything from shorts weather to long underwear and boots weather. While I have no idea what clothes to take out of my closet each day, it is time to begin thinking about spring:
- If you want to plant a garden (flower or food), decide where you will plant and what you will plant. Order seeds or seedlings as needed. If you need to arrange to have sod turned, make those arrangements. Purchase any accessories or soil conditioners you might need.
- Look at the outdoor furniture and accessories that you stored last fall and see if anything requires repair, repainting, etc.
- On one of these nice sunny days, take a walk around your property and simply make a list of outdoor projects you’ll need to address once the weather turns for good.
- For major projects, you can start getting estimates and choosing a contractor. That way, you’ll be ready to go once the weather turns. They may be able to do some projects while it’s still winter, so you can hit the ground running when spring arrives.
