Spring Forward
March 12, 2018St. Patrick’s Day
March 16, 2018In Monday’s post, we talked about the extra light that comes with Daylight Savings Time. The extra light is a physical reminder that, as the weather gets warmer, we tend to spend more of our time outside.
As we work to finish our spring cleaning, we need to make plans to clean and organize our outdoor spaces as well. There probably isn’t enough time in the evenings, but a weekend day might offer enough time. So what might you do:
- Clear up brush that fell over the winter.
- Weed, clean, and re-mulch flower beds.
- Prepare gardening beds and do spring planting.
- Clean outdoor furniture.
- Set up the clothesline.
- Survey the house and yard to identify any repairs that need to be made after the winter.
- Clean the gutters and check the downspouts before the spring rains.
What do you need to do to make your outdoor space welcoming and comfortable?
