Snow Pantry
January 11, 2017Winter Weekends
January 13, 2017You know that I'm a big fan of new year's resolutions. But even if you don't like resolutions or you think it's too late to set them, I have a suggestion for you. Set some goals. Just specific things you'd like to accomplish in 2017. You still have 353 days to accomplish them!
Here are some ideas:
- Do something for your mind: Take a class, learn a skill, do some reading.
- Do something for your body: Train for a race, take a course in healthy cooking, schedule important medical texts.
- Do something for your home: Paint, de-clutter a closet, update window treatments.
- Do something for your finances: Set up automatic savings, renegotiate regular bills to lower your costs, increase your contributions to retirement accounts, actually write down your household budget, write a will.
- Do something for your community: find an organization where you can volunteer, research and make charitable donations, attend neighborhood meetings, gather neighbors for a block party, get involved in local or national politics.
- Do something for the earth: recycle, compost, dry clothes on a line, plant something, shop farmers' markets, use public transportation.
What will you do?
