Tax Day — One Week
April 11, 2016Seasonal Work
April 15, 2016This weekend, I took advantage of a lovely spring day on Sunday to visit the US National Arboretum. It's a lovely park, filled with beautiful plants and trees and special installations such as a knot garden, and herb garden, and a bonsai collection (including one tree that's nearly 400 years old!). It's a great place to go for a long walk — alone or with your dog –, a run, a bike ride, or a picnic.
Even though I've lived in Washington, DC for over 20 years, it was my first visit to the arboretum. That got me thinking about all the wonderful local places I might be missing.
Your task in April is to find 2 local "tourist spots" that you have never visited (or that you haven't visited in years and years). As the weather gets better, consider putting them on your to-do list.
