I put my hammock up Saturday and spent all Sunday afternoon enjoying it.  I have no idea why I didn't buy one ages ago!

I bought a quilted fabric hammock with a stand and a storage bag for the winter.  I need to buy a stand because I don't have 2 trees well-located to support a hammock.  Plus, with a stand, I can move it to various parts of my yard.  I got a fabric hammock because I wanted my dog to be able to join me on the hammock and rope would make that impossible. 

Putting the stand together was surprisingly easy.  It came in 5 parts (plus 2 S-hooks).  None of the five parts was overly heavy and the instructions made it easy to figure out how to put tab A into slot B.  It took me longer to open the shipping box than to put the stand together. 

Once the stand was up, it's just a matter of unrolling the hammock and attaching the hooks and chains to each end.  You hang the hammock off the stand and adjust it to get the height you want.

Then, you grab a frosty beverage, a pillow, a good book, and some sun block so you can sway your day away.
