Welcome to Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial beginning of summer. (The season actually begins with the solstice in late June.)

I don't have firm plans for my weekend since I'll be returning from a business trip and finishing prpearations for a race, but I will try to get out and enjoy the long weekend. Perhaps I'll visit a local farmers' market and get some lovely fruit to snack on and some fresh ingredients for a nioce big salad. Who knows? Maybe I'll even grill up some meat and eat outside. Weather permitting, I'll spend at least part of the weekend on my hammock with a good book and a tasty beverage.
