August 28, 2019Labor Day
September 2, 2019Yes, I know that meteorological summer is later in September, but traditionally, summer extends from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so this weekend is the big finale.
Now, you don’t have time to accomplish everything you originally had planned for the summer, (Remember those summer resolutions?) but you could pick one thing.
My suggestion: do something that makes you think summer: cook dinner on the grill and eat outside, go to a beach and take an early morning walk on the sand to watch the sunrise, go out for ice cream, enjoy an afternoon outside with a good book and a tasty beverage. Whatever makes you think summer — do it!
Usually, after Labor Day, the pace of life picks up with the start of school, busier work and social schedules, and the fast approach of the holidays, so make it a point to make this weekend a good one. Enjoy these last few days of slower pace and longer light.
Fall will be here soon.
