Last Weekend of Summer
August 30, 2019Why We Work
September 3, 2019Today is Labor Day. Unfortunately, its role as the traditional end of the summer often overshadows its true meaning.
Labor Day is a day to recognize everyone who works for a living and the contribution that work makes to civil society. In between your barbecue and your hammock time, take a moment to think about the value of work, the role it plays in your life, and the people who do difficult or menial jobs without attention.
Then take action:
- Work for just policies for all workers.
- Treat those in service occupations and retail with kindness and patience.
- Commit to working with conviction and diligence.
