A Simple Summer Entree
May 29, 2009My New Hammock
June 3, 2009June begins today. (Personally, I'm still trying to figure out where April went!) Take advantage of the longer daylight hours and slower pace to do some informal entertaining:
- Celebrate a new graduate.
- Throw a shower for a bride or mother to be.
- Host a party for some newlyweds.
- Gather some old high school friends for a mini-reunion.
- Host a family reunion.
- Have a Father's Day cookout.
- Have a garden party. (Bonus points if the ladies wear big hats and gloves.)
- Invite the neighbors over for TGIF tapas and sangria.
- Celebrate the solstice (June 20-21 – technically 1:46 a.m. on June 21 in DC)
- Celebrate Midsummer's Nativity (June 24th — halfway to Christmas)
- Take a picnic and some friends to an outdoor concert
The possibilities are endless. How will you celebrate this summer?
