Apart from spending less, the only way to save more money is to make more money — of course with the caveat that any extra earnings go to savings.

Making more money can be a bit of a challenge, but it is possible.

• You can volunteer for overtime at work.
• If your job offers shifts, taking an occasional evening, night, or weekend shift can increase your hourly wage.  You might not want to switch shifts permanently, but taking once in a while might not be bad.
• You might be able to take on extra projects at work that pay small bonuses.
• For a short period at least, a part-time job might be an option. 

Doing extra work is never easy.  It can be exhausting and take away from other things that are priorities, but sometimes it is a valid option, especially in the short run.
