I think October may be my favorite month of the year!  The air begins to pick up its autumn chill. (Though not this weekend — it was hot!)  It’s my birthday month.  There’s football AND baseball to watch. (Hats off to Johnny Damon for most excellent play last night!)  And all the holidays are on the horizon.

There’s something about the sounds and scents and atmosphere of autumn that make me want to gather my friends into my home.  So, I spent part of the weekend tidying my house so I can receive guests.  Over the next few blogs, I hope to take some of the stress and mystery out of entertaining.  Sharing food and fellowship with you friends is a very Elf way to spend autumn.
