If you haven’t started yourtaxes yet, that should be your task for this week.  The earlier that you file, the easier it is to get an appointment with an accountant (if you need one) and the faster you’ll get your return. 

Also, if you discover a need to increase or decrease your withholding, the earlier the better to make the change.

So this week, focus on gathering together any necessary documents — W2s, 1099s, receipts, tax forms, etc. — and put them all in one place to work on one evening or over the weekend.

Think of how good you’ll feel when you’re done.
