I am an exceedingly happy Elf. I have turkey stock simmering on one burner, using the carcass from yesterday’s brunch so I will have turkey noodle soup for Halloween dinner.  I’ll add the pan drippings I saved to the broth to intensify the flavor.  Thanks to Rob for this excellent idea!

On the other burner, I have homemade pasta sauce for an office potluck on Thursday.  I’ll cook the pasta to almost done Wednesday night and combine the pasta and sauce in a slow cooker at work.

Two burners making delicious homemade food.  This is happiness.
