Get Outside
May 3, 2019Travel Series
May 9, 2019As you continue your transition to summer, hopefully, you will find yourself with more time. School events will stop for the summer. Many organizations limit meetings during the summer. Often, even the pace of work slows down.
In addition, with longer days, you have more evening hours to enjoy.
Hopefully, that means that you can do things that are enjoyable to you and get some rest. But you can also use some of that time to give back to your community.
Look for ways that you can make a difference:
- You can volunteer to help out at one of the many events that will be held over the summer.
- You can offer to fill in for vacationing volunteers at a local food bank or other organization.
- You can initiate a community project, such as a cleaning up a park or rehabilitating a playground or creating a community garden.
As you prepare for summer, take a few moments to think about how you can give back.
