Spring Entertaining
March 28, 2014A Way Ahead
April 24, 2014Today ends the first quarter of 2014. That makes it an especially good time to do a quick check-in on your new year's resolutions.
Go find your list and honestly assess your progress. Where are you being successful? Where are you falling behind? Where should you focus your attention in the next quarter?
I've taken a good look at my resolutions and I'm doing pretty well so far. I've started re-organizing my personal files. I'm ahead in my reading. I've been pretty good about minimizing food waste and using up food in the freezer and pantry. I've gone vegetarian two days each week. I've increased my savings and cut back on spending. I've started training for my half-marathon and I'm increasing my running pace. I've even made some progress on polishing my silver tea service — all the better to host a spring tea.
On the downside, I haven't attacked any old craft projects. My weight loss efforts haven't been at all successful. My closets and cabinets are still a mess. I have some legal and financial tasks that I haven't addressed. I have some new recipes I want to try and some places I want to visit.
So, I still have a good bit to achieve in 2014, but I'm on my way. How about you?
