Fall is certainly on its way. Kids are back in school.The football season has started. The last tennis Grand Slam is over. Baseball is winding down. And, despite a brief hot spell right now in DC, the weather has begun to turn.

You know, I usually look forward to the beginning of fall. My birthday is in the fall. I love the cooler days and the turning leaves. The flavors of autumn are favorites. It's muich nicer to run on cooler days. And the holidays are right around the corner so preparations are heating up!

But this year, I can't get excited about the fall, even though I have a trip to Rome to look forward to! I find myself sad that the days are getting shorter. I feel overwhelmed, as if I don't have enough time to get everything finished — possibly the result of two significant large projects that need to be finished in the next six weeks.

How do you get out of the doldrums?
