September 28, 2010Now that fall is here, it's time to do a few health and safety reminders:
- Just because it isn't summer anymore doesn't mean you can abandon the sunscreen. The sun is still out and can still damage your skin.
- Using a moisturizer with sunscreen will provide added protection from cold and wind.
- Using lip balm regularly will help prevent chapping (which I absolutely detest).
- With the days growing shorter, you need to take a good look at your routine. If you need to do things outside (walk the dog, run errands, etc.) before the sun rises or after it's set, get some reflective saftey gera so that cars can see you. There's a ton of stuff on the market at a variety of price point.
- Even though your opportunities to exercise outside may be limited by the shorter days (no more 7:30 pm runs for me), your body still needs to exercise. Look for a good deal at a local gym or find a space in your house that you can use. You don't really need a ton of space and lots of fancy equipment to do basic exercises.
