School Days Routines
September 12, 201410 Weeks to Thanksgiving
September 17, 2014It's a bit cool here today. Mornings and evenings make it very clear that fall is on its way. (It arries this weekend.) So, it's the perfect time to think about fall health.
- Keep using moisturizer with sunscreen. Colder weather does not prevent sunburn.
- Time to buy and start using new lip balm. Cold, damp autumn winds can leave you with very chapped lips. And old lip balm is just icky.
- Even though the hours of daylight are growing shorter, it's a great time of year for outdoor workouts like running and biking and hiking and walking. It's cool enough that you won't overheat as easily. Plus, you can look at the changing leaves and enjoy fall breezes.
- Limit your consumption of fall treats like rich stews and cobblers and caramel-dipped apples.
- Keep hydrating. It's amazing how much fuller you feel when you drink water. Plus, it's great for your skin as the wind gets chiller and the air indoors gets drier.
