Columbus Day Weekend
October 7, 2011Birthday Reflection
October 11, 2011This is a great time to plan your fall entertaining. There are the obvious opportunities, like Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Less obvious options include a Harvest Brunch, a Christmas craft party, a fall cider and stew night, a walk to see the leaves followed by an informal meal, a last-chance cookout.
As a little treat, I will share my Harvest Salad recipe: 1 head romaine or green leaf lettuce, roughly torn; 3/4 cup dried cranberries; 3/4 cup toasted pecans or walnuts; 1 cup of parmesan cheese, made into parmesan crisps. Dress with honey mustard dressing (minced shallot, dijon mustard, honey, olive oil to emulsification). It's beyond yummy.
