Thanksgiving — Three Weeks
November 3, 2016Getting Ready for Winter
November 7, 2016This is the weekend we turn our clocks back and get an extra hour of sleep! But it does mean that we won't have light in the evenings anymore.
I am not a fan of doing errands after dark. I walk to and from most places, so it's a bit of a safety issue for me.The lack of light in the evening also limits my evening runs.
The time change makes it necessary to plan your weekly schedule carefully. You'll need to reserve outside tasks and errands for Saturday and Sunday. Indoor chores like cooking, laundry, mopping, dusting, plan-ahead cooking, etc. can be done on weekday evenings when the light goes early.
But, in the meantime, take this extra hour as a gift and use it to do something indulgent, something that gives you joy. As for me, I'll be on a plane to a meeting in Europe, so I won't even notice the shift. Such is life.
