A Change of Heart Regarding Gift-Giving
June 28, 2016LIving the Seasons, Not the Sales
July 5, 2016The second quarter of 2016 ends today. It's hard to believe it but tomorrow marks the halfway point of the year!
That means its' time for a quick check-in on your new year's resolutions.
Go find your list and honestly assess your progress (This is why you wrote them down!). Where are you being successful? Where are you falling behind? Where should you focus your attention in the next quarter?
As usual, I started the year off strong, but I have slowed down a lot over the last few months. I need to get back to doing some regular things that were part of my routine through the beginning of spring.
I have done some things I wanted to do — like attending a Washington Capitals practice and taking a class (aerial yoga!) I finished pruning and reorganizing my personal business files. I cleaned my craft chest and the guest bedroom closet. I've been entertaining regularly. I've read two of the five books I plan to read and donate. On the down side, my craft projects remain undone and my magazine backlog is still talk enough to be seen from space. I've made little to no headway on getting back in shape. I still have two closets to clean, a tea service to polish, jewelry to organize, and things to use up.
My goals in the next quarter:
- Get back to some regular form of exercise.
- Finish at least one old craft project.
- Finish one more book and a stack of magazines.
- Clean my bedroom closet.
- Polish two pieces of the tea service.
So, I still have a good bit to achieve in 2016, but I'm on my way. How about you?
