Before you return your Christmas decorations to storage, here are some things you should check:

• Are the storage boxes or other containers in good shape? Do any need to be replaced?
• Have you pruned out old decorations that you no longer wish to use?
• Are the decorations you are storing still in good shape? If not, can they be repaired?
• What do you need to repair or refurbish (new light bulbs, gluing, painting, etc.)?  Anything that needs to be repaired should be repaired before it's stored or stored in a very accessible place so that you can access it on a raint day well in advance of decorating season?
• Are your storage boxes clearly marked?
• What do you need need to purchase or make next year as replacements or additions?
