I was on vacation last week. The time away got me to thinking about the process of coming home from vacation. You don't just have to get back into your routine,you usually have several chores resulting from your time away. For example:

• Sorting mail.
• Paying bills that arrived while you were away.
• Unpacking.
• Doing laundry.
• Restocking the fridge with perishables.
• Returning luggage to storage.

It usually takes me a full week after my return to get through that list. I try to do a little bit each day, but I sometimes wonder if it would be better to schedule time when I get back from a vacation to do everything at once.
