Last year I looked at Christmas movies.  This year, I'll turn my attention to Christmas music.

Tomorrow, I'll look at my favorites.  Today, let's look at the ones I don't so much love.

5) Rocking Around the Christmas Tree:  It's tedious.  It's repetitive.  It doesn't really rock.  And if you do rock around the Christmas tree, you might knock the oprnaments off.

4) Santa Baby:  It's a fun tune, but it has a very bad Christmas message  Christmas is not about what you get.  It's about the love you give.

3)  Blue Christmas:  Only the King's glorious voice could make this downer of a song even remotely bearable.  No one else should be allowed to try.

2)  Winter Wonderland/Sleigh Ride:  Yes, I know they are different songs, but after a few weeks of listening, they start to blend together in my brain.

1) Christmas Shoes:  It's maudlin.  It's saccharine.  It's bad theology. (Jesus does not care what your shoes look like.  Yes!  I know that for a fact.)  Make it go away!
