Christmas Eve is only six weeks from today!  That means it's time to move our preparations into high gear:

• Start work on your Christmas cards.  I make it a habit to try to write messages in a few each night.  that way, it never becomes a chore.
• Plan to put up at least some of your outdoor decorations the first weekend you get nice weather.  Focus on the decorations that require the use of a ladder.  You don't want to be on the roof in freezing rain.
• Begin your Christmas shopping, especially for gifts that must be shipped.
• Decide on the kinds of cookies you'll be baking and make sure that you have the recipes at hand.
• If you are having a Christmas party, begin the planning:  guest list, menu, etc.

Christmas will be here before you know it.  By planning ahead, you'll be ready to enjoy it!
