Plan Ahead Cooking
September 29, 2014Stop Buying
October 3, 2014The third quarter of 2014 ended yesterday. That means it's time for a quick check-in on your new year's resolutions.
Go find your list and honestly assess your progress. Where are you being successful? Where are you falling behind? Where should you focus your attention in the next quarter?
I've looked over my resolutions and I've made some progress.
- I am actually a month ahead of schedule on my reading.
- I've gone vegetarian two days each week (that I'm not on vacation.
- I've continued increasing the amount that goes into savings each from each paycheck.
- I did something else I've always wanted to do — taking the water taxi across the Potomac.
- I re-organized my bookshelves — even finding a good quantity of books that I can donate.
- I've started the re-organization of my cabinets.
- I've started paying bills online. (I know, what took me so long?)
- I finished off some crocheting that was taking up space in the craft room.
- I filed a tax amendment that netted me an additional refund.
- I hosted a dinner party.
On the downside, my weight loss efforts haven't been at all successful. My silver tea service is languishing. The pace of my 5k is abysmal.
My goals in the next quarter:
- Clean the kitchen cabinets.
- Finish sorting my personal files.
- Finish one more old craft project.
- Work on a new recipe I've always wanted to make.
So, I still have a good bit to achieve in 2014, but it's doable — even while getting rady for the holidays. How are you doing?
