On Wednesday, I blogged about my use of daily lists. Having home and work lists for each day have helped me keep my daily tasks under control which is great. At work, I've even managed to make some headway on larger projects.

But I also have a list of personal/home projects I was hoping to complete in the month of August. I have to admit that it hasn't been going very well. I just haven't been clearing the blocks of time that are needed to attack some of these. Plus, I think that not reviewing that list every day may be part of the problem. As is true of many things, out of sight is out of mind. If I don't remind myself of the bigger projects, I don't make progress on completing them.

So, I need to address these lacks. I'm reviewing the list every few days and making a conscious effort to incorporate progress into my daily lists. Plus, I'll try to find a few larger blocs of time to dedicate to the bigger projects (especially the fun ones). We'll see how I've done after Labor Day.

Unfortunately, I will lose a major bloc of time due to the need to travel to attend a family funeral. But one of the reasons I plan is to make it easier to do what really matters.
