Setting a Gift Limit
October 2, 2012Thanksgiving – 7 Weeks
October 4, 2012(Almost) each week in 2012, I’ll post an Activity of the Week. They won’t be huge things, just something to move you in a different direction or give you a new perspective or shake things up in some way.
Here’s the Activity for Week 31: Make and freeze cookie dough. Sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies. All of those doughs freeze beautifully. Just make your regular dough and then form the dough into a log. Wrap the log in parchment paper and then freeze it in a freezer bag. Even better, divide the log into 4 equal parts and wrap each one separately (though they may fit in the same bag). When you want fresh-baked cookies, just take out one piece (about a dozen cookies), defrost, slice and bake. I like not having to bake all of the dough at once since homemade cookies in my house WILL BE EATEN.
Accountability: I still need to give something away. I'm hoping that I'll have some time over the holiday weekend to clean out a drawer or closet.
