New Year — Lots of Food
January 3, 2017New Year Habit — The Friday Tidy
January 6, 2017One of my new year's resolutions was to read some classics of children's literature that I never got around to reading as a child. So, I asked my Facebook friends for some ideas. (It's a very good idea to include teachers and librarians as your Facebook friends!) I had read some of the suggestions on their list and some of the suggested titles are almost impossible to find. I narrowed down the possible list to twelve– one for each month. I may read more, but this is my commitment.
Here's the final list:
A Secret Garden
A Wrinkle in Time
Where the Wild Things Are
Where the Red Fern Grows
The Little Prince
Tuck Everlasting
Holes
Winnie the Pooh
Anne of Green Gables
The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Ages 13 ¾
Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret
The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
I've already read my January book (The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler). It was delightful!
