I know that I post lots of countdowns and warn you constantly to plan ahead for holidays.  But there's one deadline coming up that's more critical than any other:  It's the deadline to register to vote.

If you are not registered to vote yet, you can get the deadline for your state here: www.rockthevote.com/electioncenter.com

If you are registered to vote: good for you!  If you will need an absentee ballot, arrange for it.  If you will vote in person, make sure you put voting on your calendar NOW.  A very high turnout is expected.  the lines could be very long, so make sure you allot extra time.  Take a book and read in line.  Or work on your Christmas lists. 

People die (literally) for the right to vote.  Don't dishonor the sacrifice by neglecting this right.
